Since graduating from the University of Missouri, School of Law in 1981, Mike McCausland has tried over 125 jury trials in state and federal court in Missouri. For over 25 years, Mike has practiced in the area of defense litigation for private companies, insurance companies and for individuals, as well as practicing in the specialized area of defending insurance companies against claims of bad faith or “vexatious refusal” to pay.

He provides seminars to insurance companies, private businesses and insurance companies with regularity in regard to issues affecting litigation and handling of insurance claims, as well as defending direct actions against the insurance company or cases against individuals and defendants. Mike frequently lectures at continuing education programs on insurance coverage topics. Since 2000, Mike has had four top ten defense verdicts in Missouri, including two in the last three years.
