Brette joined the firm as an Associate in August, 2005 and is licensed to practice law in both Missouri and Kansas state and federal courts. She graduated with honors from Washburn University, School of Law in May, 2005. During law school, she was a member of the Washburn Trial Advocacy Team competing against law schools around the country in mock trial competitions. Her team placed third in the nation at the ATLA National Trial Advocacy Competition in 2005. Brette also interned for a general practice firm in Raleigh, NC and an insurance defense law firm in Overland Park, KS.

Brette has taken and defended numerous depositions as well as handled more than 25 mediations and settlement conferences. In February of 2008, Brette obtained a defense verdict in jury trial in Johnson County, KS with disputed liability and damages; damages sought of $100,000. Brette’s practice focuses primarily on insurance defense.
